Welcome to Rachel’s maternity session!

This gorgeous creature is a dear friend of mine.

She was my youngest son’s elementary school teacher for two years, and I had the honor of serving her as Room Mom for both years.

There were lots of long talks over coffee about our curly hair, our food restrictions, class projects and more!

I had the pleasure of photographing one of her twin sisters beach wedding a few years ago as well. Rachel is so special to me.

We decided on Lacamas Round Lake Park, a location I often shoot at.

Welcome to Mai Lee’s maternity session!

Mai Lee came prepared to her session! She researched and bought herself two gorgeous gowns! I will be purchasing these as well to add to my client closet!

Mai Lee really liked the outdoor setting at Lewisville Park in Battleground. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot!

We started out at the little covered bridge, it makes such a beautiful backdrop!

After the little covered bridge, we just walked up the trail a few feet and got these gorgeous images.

After our trail time, we drove down to the very end of Lewisville Park, where we could see the water. This particular location is actually a car turn around spot, but it makes the most gorgeous backdrop! We changed gowns half way through too, so we could get that beautiful fluffy gown in the ferns!

Then we walked down to the water! Mai Lee is so stunning!

Later that week we went to Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge to try and get some waterfall images. It was COLD and WINDY! But Mai Lee was amazing!

Her mama is a pretty special little lady to me. I photographed her years ago as a child, and her she is now all grown up with a child of her own! It’s always so humbling to me when people choose me for their newborn photos. But when children I have nannied or photographed before bring me their new babies to photograph, it’s just such a different experience.

Welcome to baby Athena’s newborn photos!

Mom was pretty excited to have her first girl after two boys! These boys were the cutest with their baby sister! They just loved her so much.

Mom and dad came to their session prepared with props they wanted baby Athena photographed with. Her animal is an owl, and so they brought owl props, and of course a Grecian crown for the goddess she is.

Mom wanted the dark wood backdrop for the family photos! I love how they were in the darker clothing, and the kids popped with the whites and purple!

Welcome to Kacie’s Maternity Session!

Kacie and her husband Travis are good friends of my brother’s! I was pretty excited to be the one to capture their maternity session!

We decided on Lewisville Park in Battleground for their location. It’s such a gorgeous setting year round, and it provides with so many options for photographing giving us a variety of looks all in one place.

We started out at the cute little covered bridge for a couple family images, complete with fur babies!

Then we headed up the trail a little way while Travis put the pups back in the truck. How stunning is Kacie?

Then we got in our cars and drove to the very end of the park where the water is.

This particular location is one of may favorites at Lewisville, I’m sure if you follow my blog at all you’ll recognize it! It’s actually a car turn around at the end of the road, but it make such a magical backdrop!

And of course we have to end at the water. It’s so peaceful and beautiful down here. The perfect ending backdrop for maternity photos.

Welcome to Jennifer’s maternity session!

I had such a wonderful time with Jennifer and Hayden during their session.

Jennifer wanted an outdoor session, with trees and greens, a forest whimsical session, which complimented their earthy and organic type lifestyle.

We started out at Lewisville park in battleground, after being unable to make our appointment at Moulton Falls due to an accident and closed road.

Jennifer was in love with these gorgeous weepy willow trees that are in the lower park area.

After we finished at the willows, we went up to Jennifer and Hayden’s property for more maternity images. Look how giant these gorgeous foxgloves are!

There were so many beautiful areas on their property, and each had a special significant meaning for their maternity pictures.

We ended at the little creek just below their house.

This was such a magical experience. I just love outdoor maternity sessions like this. It shows me further who my clients are, and gives me more of a glimpse in their lives.

Welcome back to the blog! It’s been since November 2021 since I’ve posted!

Let’s get to Brooks Cake Smash!

This is actually my very FIRST super hero cake smash! I have a lot of super hero babies come through, but no smashes! I was pretty thrilled, but nervous when his mama said super hero!

BUT!

THIS amazing mama made all of the building silhouettes, and word décor! How talented is she?! I love how sweet and simple the entire scene came together!

Here’s Brooks, celebrating his first birthday in style!
