Welcome to Kion’s newborn session!
Kion is a special little fella. I met his mama under very unfortunate circumstances. I volunteer for an non profit organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, where we provide bereavement heirloom photographs for moms who do not get to take their baby’s home from the hospital. I had the honor of photographing Kion’s big sister, Kiara.
When Kion’s mom, Sadee, contacted me for maternity images when she was pregnant with Kion I was SO happy for her! Kion is Sadee’s Rainbow Baby!
Here are some highlights from Kion’s newborn session!
Everyone together! I love how they always incorporate the images of Kiara that I took for them!
We made sure to incorporate some rainbow props, as Kion is Sadee’s Rainbow Baby. A “Rainbow Baby” is a baby that arrives after a loss of a baby. Infant Loss is something that as a culture we don’t talk about much. But it happens, and needs to be recognized. I am so privileged to serve these families, and am one of the very few people who get to meet these tiny blessings during their brief time here.

Welcome to Mai Lee’s maternity session!
Mai Lee came prepared to her session! She researched and bought herself two gorgeous gowns! I will be purchasing these as well to add to my client closet!
Mai Lee really liked the outdoor setting at Lewisville Park in Battleground. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot!
We started out at the little covered bridge, it makes such a beautiful backdrop!
After the little covered bridge, we just walked up the trail a few feet and got these gorgeous images.
After our trail time, we drove down to the very end of Lewisville Park, where we could see the water. This particular location is actually a car turn around spot, but it makes the most gorgeous backdrop! We changed gowns half way through too, so we could get that beautiful fluffy gown in the ferns!
Then we walked down to the water! Mai Lee is so stunning!
Later that week we went to Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge to try and get some waterfall images. It was COLD and WINDY! But Mai Lee was amazing!

Mom was pretty excited to have her first girl after two boys! These boys were the cutest with their baby sister! They just loved her so much.
Mom and dad came to their session prepared with props they wanted baby Athena photographed with. Her animal is an owl, and so they brought owl props, and of course a Grecian crown for the goddess she is.
Mom wanted the dark wood backdrop for the family photos! I love how they were in the darker clothing, and the kids popped with the whites and purple!
Big brothers so proud to have their photo taken with sister!
Mom really wanted the plummy purple for Athena’s images, I just love how she looks like royalty.

Welcome to Jennifer’s maternity session!
I had such a wonderful time with Jennifer and Hayden during their session.
Jennifer wanted an outdoor session, with trees and greens, a forest whimsical session, which complimented their earthy and organic type lifestyle.
We started out at Lewisville park in battleground, after being unable to make our appointment at Moulton Falls due to an accident and closed road.
Jennifer was in love with these gorgeous weepy willow trees that are in the lower park area.
After we finished at the willows, we went up to Jennifer and Hayden’s property for more maternity images. Look how giant these gorgeous foxgloves are!
There were so many beautiful areas on their property, and each had a special significant meaning for their maternity pictures.
We ended at the little creek just below their house.
This was such a magical experience. I just love outdoor maternity sessions like this. It shows me further who my clients are, and gives me more of a glimpse in their lives.
I am so excited for baby’s arrival!
