Welcome to Rachel’s maternity session!

This gorgeous creature is a dear friend of mine.

She was my youngest son’s elementary school teacher for two years, and I had the honor of serving her as Room Mom for both years.

There were lots of long talks over coffee about our curly hair, our food restrictions, class projects and more!

I had the pleasure of photographing one of her twin sisters beach wedding a few years ago as well. Rachel is so special to me.

We decided on Lacamas Round Lake Park, a location I often shoot at.

Her mama is a pretty special little lady to me. I photographed her years ago as a child, and her she is now all grown up with a child of her own! It’s always so humbling to me when people choose me for their newborn photos. But when children I have nannied or photographed before bring me their new babies to photograph, it’s just such a different experience.

today i would like to introduce to you miss layla!

last year i needed a newborn baby girl to model some bows a sweet vendor sent me. my good gal pal, valyn, sent her friend rochelle my way with baby layla!

a full year later, little miss is one, and so beautiful! i am so thrilled to have photographed both her newborn and one year photos! and i’ve gained a wonderful friend in her mama as well. <3
